Special Offerings
Discovery Weekend
January 20-22, All Saints’
Contact: James Warren, (205)362-0839 or jrw411@gmail.com
Discovery Weekend is an opportunity to build community, and explore what
Christianity and our church are all about. It’s also a time for thinking,
laughing, praying, sharing, and having fun with other members of our parish
family.
What is expected of you?
To be open to what is happening during the weekend…to try to identify for
yourself where you are in your pilgrimage…to make whatever response you
would like…to allow others to respond in their own way…to know that no
specific response is expected of you…to expect a discovery.
What can you expect?
To be offered an opportunity to share the love and joy of
Christian community with others in our parish.
Can you tell me more?
We start with dinner Friday night and conclude no later than 9:00 pm.
Saturday we meet from 8-5, and on Sunday we meet from 8-2. Child care with
fun activities will be provided. If you wish, we will provide transportation
for you to and from Discovery. We will accommodate special dietary
requirements and physical needs. Dress is absolutely casual!!!
I have a few more questions.

Theology Discussion Group
Meets the second Tuesday of each month.
Location: in someone’s home (to be determined)
Instructor: Geoff Wright, ( wright_geoffery@hotmail.com )
Designed for those who want to explore theological topics more deeply, each month we will hand out a published article on some theological theme to be read during the following weeks. Then we will gather together to discuss what we’ve read. The topics have not been pre-selected for the entire season, so if there are theological questions that you want to pursue, join the group! Together, we’ll see what we can learn.
Community of Artists
Meets occasionally
Instructor: Carolyn Warren,(carolynwarrenartist@gmail.com), Erin Smith ( asylum@uab.edu)
Throughout the year the artists meet for different occasions. Sometimes we are joining simply to do art together. Other times we work on large collaborative projects to be installed in the church and integrated into the church’s worship. All the while, we are exploring the integration of art and theology: how our experience as artists informs our experience with God. Contact us if you would like to be added to the mailing list.
The Community of Young Adults
Third Thursdays
Meets the 3rd Thursday of each month
Contact: Tripp Warren, jrw411@gmail.com
Location: Rotates
The Young Adults meet on the Third Thursday of each month for a study. This study focuses on contemporary issues and our faithful response to them. The studies are an open-discussion format, guided by scripture and questions. All are welcome to join. Contact Tripp for more information.
